Learn and understand the science behind the anti-inflammatory diet

Understand why and how our modern, processed food-based diet is making us sick leading to chronic inflammatory diseases. Learn why and how your daily food can not only become your healthy nourishment but even your medicine by following the basics of the anti-inflammatory diet. Learn how to become your own anti-inflammatory diet chef by following recipes shown in this course.

Course Description

This Anti-Inflammatory Diet course explains why and how our modern, heavily processed and plastics-surrounded food is making an increasing number of us sick.
In this course you will learn which synthetic chemicals are frequently found in and around our food and of their negative effects on our health. This course will help you to understand which of those chemicals and other food connected chemicals to avoid and which foods to look out for and choose instead.
After completion of this course, you will understand why a “more educated way of eating” is urgently needed to turn around the ongoing chronic inflammatory disease “epidemic”. A processed and plasticized food consumption-related epidemic which has negatively impacted the health of millions of people worldwide.
An epidemic caused by our pervasive exposure to ultra-processed food and food-connected chemicals which is responsible for the pain and suffering of millions of people today.
In this course you will learn about the science of processed food ingredients and the negative impact of food-connected chemicals such as plasticizers, nano- and microplastics on our health and wellbeing. You will learn which foods to avoid and which healthy foods to choose instead.
This course will explain the chemical and medicinal properties of the natural, health-supporting compounds found in foods used in the anti-inflammatory diet.
The goal of this course is to help you to regain and maintain your personal health and wellbeing through developing healthier food selection, preparation and eating habits. To accomplish this noble goal, I will share some of the foods and recipes I am personally using since more than 20 years to prepare delicious and healthy meals following the principles of the anti-inflammatory diet.

Not Sure Whether This Course Is For You?

Well, ask yourself the following questions.
Are you struggling with overweight?
Are you feeling low energy and cannot find a good night sleep?
Are you suffering from intestinal problems, joint pain, mental fog or depression?
Have you ever thought that the type of food you are eating and the way you prepare and eat your food might be the reason?
Are you tired of being prescribed one prescription drug after another or taking another nutritional supplement without seeing or feeling any improvement?

If you answered all or some of those questions with “Yes”, then this Anti-Inflammatory Diet course is important for you!
In this course you will learn and understand why and how our modern, ultra-processed, preservatives-containing and plastics-exposed food is responsible for the increasing number of people being diagnosed with a chronic inflammatory disease, ranging from COPD, asthma, Crohn’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes 2 to rheumatoid arthritis.
You will learn how to minimize your risk of developing one of those chronic inflammatory diseases by switching to the Anti-Inflammatory Diet. Today, chronic inflammatory diseases (CIDs) are the most significant cause of death in the world and “the prevalence of diseases associated with chronic inflammation is anticipated to increase persistently for the next 30 years” (Pahwa R. et al. StatPearls 2022). In 2000, nearly 125 million people were living with at least one form of a chronic inflammatory disease. In 2015, 30.3 million U.S. citizens had diabetes 2, more than 25 million were suffering from asthma, many of them children, and nearly 15.7 million U.S. Americans were diagnosed with COPD. Worldwide, 3 out 5 people die because of the consequences of a chronic inflammatory disease, most commonly due to stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, obesity, diabetes and cancer.
Despite billions of dollars spent on research every year, modern medicine has no clear understanding of the underlaying cause(s) of this chronic inflammatory disease crisis. One accepted view amongst scientists is that one of the main causes of chronic inflammatory diseases is the body’s failure of eliminating an “agent” or of a “foreign material” causing an acute inflammation. But the “agent” or the “foreign material” being responsible for millions of patients suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases has evaded modern medicine and remained a mystery. Most of the time all that doctors prescribe and have to offer are pain relievers, glucocorticoids and other anti-inflammatory drugs. Sadly, most of those synthetic drugs do not offer long-term safe and effective treatment to those millions suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases.
In this course you will learn about the connection between modern, processed food consumption, food contact chemicals (FCC), nano- and microplastics, oxidative stress, cell damage, inflammation, and chronic inflammatory diseases.
This course will help you to get a better, more scientific view on the food you eat. It will teach you which foods to avoid and which foods to choose instead. The last lecture of this course instructs you how to prepare delicious, health-supporting meals using anti-inflammatory foods and anti-inflammatory diet recipes.
After completion of this course, you will have gained a very different look at the food you eat. You will have empowered yourself with knowledge helping you to take better control of your personal health and wellbeing by living a life centered around the anti-inflammatory diet.

Course Objective

This course was developed by a scientist and experienced educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience at the college and university level. This course was developed with two goals in mind. First to help you get a better understanding of the dangers of our modern, processed foods to our health. Second to empower yourself to take better, more conscious control of our personal health.
In this course you will learn how to reduce the risk of developing one of the many chronic inflammatory diseases by, a) changing what you eat, and b) the way you eat.
You will learn which foods to avoid and which healthier foods to select instead.
This course will also teach you how to use those healthier foods to prepare healthy and delicious meals by following recipes created following the science-based anti-inflammatory diet. A diet which will put you on the path to better health and wellbeing!
Learn and understand the connection of modern, ultra-processed food, synthetic food ingredients and chronic inflammation.
Learn and understand the process of inflammation and how ultra-processed food ingredients are causing oxidative stress and inflammation in your body.
Learn and understand how antioxidants work and how to control oxidative stress in your body by switching to a diet rich in natural antioxidants.
Learn about anti-inflammatory ingredients in certain foods and become introduced to the anti-inflammatory foods list.
Know which foods to select, when and what to buy and which foods to avoid.
Learn how to develop new eating habits and how to prepare delicious and easy to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes following anti-inflammatory recipes; recipes, I personally have been using over the last 20 years
All recipes are centered around fresh, carefully selected, and easy to obtain quality ingredients with the goal to minimize the exposure of your body to known or suspected food- or food packaging-derived derived chemicals, preservatives and/or inflammatory ingredients.

Lecture 1

Lecture 1 describes and compares food eaten by mankind during pre-historic times and now. It explains the connection between consumption of our modern, heavily processed and preserved food-based diet, toxic food components and the rise in chronic inflammatory diseases. It further explains the process of inflammation and markers in our body indicating inflammation.
